We know that this fall might not be what you anticipated, but there are still a ton of fun ways to kick off the cooler weather! Maybe this year is the year to try new things with your friends and family! The fit team is sharing their favorite ways to stay active and have fun when the weather cools down.
Donna Hardie, our Lead Program Development Specialist, loves the cooler weather and cheering on her favorite football teams. She also spends her time taking impromptu road trips to state parks to enjoy the changing seasons!
Shelby Braun, a Program Development Specialist, loves to explore the city with her dog, Arrow! Shelby also enjoys making apple chips and spending chilly evenings with a movie, popcorn, and hot apple cider.
Amy Baete, our Program Director, love s spending time outdoors when the cooler weather comes around. Family trips to the local state parks mark the start of her fall, and they always try to bring different leaves home. She also loves to make fall-inspired recipes like butternut squash soup, and her kids create their own versions with their favorite add-ins like fish crackers, croutons, or cheese!
Shelby Huber, our Senior Graphic Designer, works remotely from Montana, so she’s a mountain girl. She loves to hike and forage for mushrooms and new rocks, and takes a break with her hammock and a good book.
Brittney Nathan, a Program Development Specialist, is kicking off her fall by spending time making new fall recipes. She’s also excited to introduce her new baby boy to the cold weather and snow!
Tabitha Merkle, our Communications Specialist, kicks off her fall with some time to explore the city. She loves trying new foods and visiting the apple orchards and pumpkin patches.
Katrina Anderson, our Family Life Educator, loves to spend time outside with her dog, Tito, when the weather cools off. Her favorite fall snack is apple slices dipped in pumpkin hummus, and she loves a good bowl of warm chili on a crisp, fall day.
No matter how you spend your fall days, keep a positive mindset and find new ways to stay active at home or with your family to boost your mood.
